Welcome to Protege X

Protege X is a cloud-based intrusion detection, access control and building automation solution that enables easy management of multiple locations, across multiple customers, from a single login. Operating in the cloud offers quick deployment, global system continuity and enhanced cybersecurity protection, along with on-demand availability for absolute mobility and access.

This help system provides a guide to the programming options and features of the Protege X user interface.

Your operator role determines the functions available to you when signed in to Protege X. Access to view and edit some record types may have been restricted by your system administrator.

The Getting Started section provides instructions and information for everything you need to start using Protege X, including:

• Adding Users

System Reference Guide

The System Reference Guide section of the Protege X help system includes full reference information for every page and option in the user interface. You can use the menu on the left to navigate through the help content, which is organized in the same structure as the main menu of Protege X.

For example, if you need to find information about the Options section in the doors programming, expand the Programming Menu section and locate Programming | Doors | Options.

Almost every field in the user interface is described in this help system. To quickly find information about a particular field in Protege X, type the name of the field (with quotation marks) in the Search field at the top of the screen, then press Enter.

For example, you might search for "Always check unlock schedule" to learn about what that option does.

API Developer Guide

The Protege X API Developer Guide has everything developers need to get started with testing and using the API.
